Find out about e-mail forwarding, the way it works and in which situations it is handy to get it enabled.
With the email forwarding enabled for any specific address, all inbound e-mail messages will be sent to a third-party address you have selected although the latter will not be in the list of recipients and the sender will not be aware where their email will go. You can use such a function in case you have numerous email addresses as it will likely be far more convenient to receive all of the incoming e-mails in just a single email address instead of signing in and out of different ones all the time or setting up a number of mail boxes within an e-mail application. In case you have a company or maybe an enterprise, the email forwarding is also a way to check all emails obtained by numerous divisions for better coordination. It's also possible to use this feature the other way around - an e-mail sent to a general email address can be sent to multiple people.
E-mail Forwarding in Shared Hosting
If you have a shared hosting
package with us and you create e-mail addresses inside your account, you'll be able to forward it with only a few mouse clicks to any other e-mail address of your preference. The option can be enabled when you create a new mailbox or at any time afterwards and disabled just as quickly in case you change your mind. This can be done with the Hepsia Hosting Control Panel where you will manage your account. In addition, you will have the option to choose if a duplicate of the inbound e-mails will remain on our servers or not. The benefit of this option is basically that you will always have a backup on your server if something happens with the other mailbox or if perhaps it's not active for reasons unknown at the time a message is forwarded. When the feature not active, an e-mail will be received, forwarded and removed from our system no matter if the remote e-mail address is functioning or not, so it can be quite a good idea to have it enabled just to be prepared.
E-mail Forwarding in Semi-dedicated Hosting
For people with a semi-dedicated server
from our company, it will take you simply a few mouse clicks in the Email Manager area of your Hepsia Hosting Control Panel to forward any of the e-mail addresses configured on our system to a third-party address. In the same area you will also be able to see how many of your email addresses are forwarded and where the incoming emails are going. It is easy to activate or disable a forwarding account whenever you want and during the process you can also choose if a backup copy of the messages has to be kept in our system or not. Although this option isn't a requirement, it's helpful as you will get a copy of the emails on our end just in case that anything occurs with the third-party mailbox. Even when they have a momentary issue, you run the risk of losing e-mails as when our system gets and forwards an email, nothing at all will be stored on our end unless you selected a copy to be kept.
